Credits awarded: up to 6 academic credits (3 in language and 3 credits in one of the courses listed below)

Three Week January Winter Term Program Study in Sicily, Italy Program
Cost: Euro 3.650,00

Enroll with a friend and share a room and each student receives a 200 Euro discount! Students must enroll for same dates, but may select different courses.

The Three Week January Winter Term Program in Italy, Sicily invites students to experience an authentic cultural experience with a Sicilian family homestay. Sicilian hospitality and the high quality of traditional Sicilian meals are well known and the Italian cultural immersion promotes a depth of study abroad in Italy experience which provides optimal enjoyment along with optimal learning. Students spend winter semester break experiencing Sicily’s rich history, art and culture. January Winter Term Study Abroad in Italy students can begin Italian language study or Italian Studies students can continue their Italian language study together with a course in Geology of volcanos, Italian Art History, History, Literature, Archeology, Mafia/Anti Mafia or Cinema taught in English or Italian and earn 3 to 6 academic credits.

 

Three Week January Winter Term Study in Sicily, Italy Programs include


  • 6 academic credits - 3 credits in language and 3 credits in literature, cinema, history, art history, archeology, political science or geology
  • Home stay with local families
  • Breakfast and dinner with families
  • Pickup and Drop off at Catania Fontanarossa Airport
  • Orientation

  • Guided historical walking tour of Taormina
  • Cultural and social activities program
  • Two Full Day Excursions
  • Free internet access at Babilonia

Students may directly transfer credits into their home university or earn US university credits through Auburn University.
