Fashion Mediterraneo in cooperation with MadeInMedi is a comprehensive exploration of all aspects of the fashion world. Study Abroad in Sicily, Italy students begin with the history of costume and fashion and contemporary fashion and advance to design and production finishing by assisting with a professional fashion show.

Enrollment is limited. Students must have previous Italian language study. Students will commute by public bus to Catania.

Course Description:
Offered in partnership with Accademia Euromediterranea Studio, the network of Studio Ferrera, Gabriella Ferrera, MadeinMedi, CastDiva, etc. This course includes both classroom training as well as an exclusive hands on internship project with MadeinMedi, the studio of the fashion stylist Gabriella Ferrera. Enrollment is limited and previous Italian language study is a prerequisite. The studio of the wideworld fashion stylist Marella Ferrera course includes hands on internship organizing a MadeInMedi fashion show in Taormina, Sicily from May 27th to June 10, 2012. Students explore all aspects of the fashion industry including the study of textiles, design and construction of models, packaging, photography and marketing.
