Babilonia - Center for Italian Language and Culture offers a wide array of cultural and social activities which are an enriching extension of the classroom. Optional guided visits and excursions, which take full advantage of Sicily’s diverse resources, are scheduled each weekend,. Weekly seminars covering topics in such areas as art, history, culture, sociology, politics and economics are coordinated with a weekly film designed to stimulate discussion and an appreciation and understanding of the intricacies of the Italian culture. Demonstrations and lectures given by our faculty or local artisans, along with social dinners and sports activities, immerse students in the local culture and offer an insider’s view of life in Sicily enriching the students’ study abroad in Sicily, Italy experience.
